Travel, Lodging, and Reimbursement
Your travel, including airfare and transport to and from the airport, will be reimbursed by agreement. We can reimburse mileage if you drive from out of town. Please keep all your receipts for reimbursement. We will cover your registration, meals at the workshop and lodging at the Argonne Guest House (up to three nights). To help us arrange your visit, please complete the confirmation form.
Make sure in advance that you have permission to enter the Argonne site. Here’s what to do depending on your situation:
I have a valid user badge. You’re all set for site access, but please complete the confirmation form to give us the other information we need about your visit. (To double-check your badge status, go to the APS User Portal.)
I’m a U.S. citizen but I don’t have a user badge. Please complete the confirmation form and Natalie will arrange a gate pass for you.
I’m not a U.S. citizen and I don’t have a user badge. Please (1) complete the confirmation form and (2) contact Natalie as soon as possible. The process of getting access permission for non-US citizens takes time.
You will need to arrange your own airline travel. Please read the travel reimbursement guidelines carefully before purchasing tickets.
We will reserve a room in the Argonne Guest House for you. Please use the confirmation form to let us know which nights you plan to spend at the Argonne Guest House and your room preference.
Getting to the Argonne Guest House
The Guest House is located within the Argonne site near the APS (map). You will be asked for your badge or identification at the Argonne gate.
If you choose to use a taxi, the company recommended by Argonne is A-1 airport limousine (https://a1limousine.com/). When you make your reservation, please request a driver who has U.S. citizenship and (if possible) has been to Argonne before. The taxi will take you directly to the Guest House.
All meals during the workshop are provided, from breakfast on Saturday through lunch on Sunday. You can indicate any dietary restrictions on the confirmation form.
